Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Tuckii is built to be local-first. The links you save live on your device — and, if you turn on sync, in your own iCloud or Google Drive — not on our servers. You don't need an account, and we don't collect your email, your name, or your location. This policy explains the limited data Tuckii does handle and why.
1Information We Collect
Tuckii collects as little as possible. Specifically:
- Your saved content (stored on your device). The URLs, titles, descriptions, notes, collections, and tags you create are stored locally on your device in the app's database. We do not upload or store this content on our servers. If you use sync (Pro), a copy is also kept in your own iCloud or Google Drive (see Section 4).
- Link metadata requests. When you save a link, the app sends that link's URL to our metadata service so it can fetch a preview — the page title, description, thumbnail image, and favicon. This lets your saved links look clean and recognizable. With each request, the app also sends an anonymous ID for your copy of the app (the random purchase ID RevenueCat creates, not your name or email), which we use only to stop abuse of the service.
- Device & diagnostic information. The Tuckii app contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK. If you have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers in your device settings, Apple and Google give us crash reports and aggregate statistics, such as device model and operating system version, which we use to fix problems and keep the app stable.
- Aggregate preview statistics. Our metadata service counts previews by type of site (for example YouTube or a regular web page) and whether they worked. These counts contain no URLs and no IDs.
Tuckii does not collect your email address, name, phone number, contacts, or precise location, and it does not require you to create an account.
2How We Use Information
- To provide the core service — saving, organizing, and previewing your links.
- To fetch and display previews for the links you save.
- To sync your library through your own iCloud or Google Drive, only when you tap Sync Now (Pro).
- To diagnose issues, maintain stability, and improve the app.
- To process premium subscriptions through the app stores (see Section 5).
3Data Storage & Security
Your saved links and collections are stored locally on your device. When you create a backup, Tuckii exports your data to a JSON file that you control — you choose where to save it and whether to restore it later. If you use sync (Pro), a copy also lives in your own iCloud or Google Drive, as described in Section 4. Our metadata service may temporarily cache fetched link previews to make the app faster; this cache contains public page metadata, not your personal information. We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit.
4Optional Sync (Pro)
Sync is an optional Pro feature. It runs only when you tap Sync Now in Settings → Cloud Sync, and it moves your library directly between your device and your own iCloud or Google Drive account. Your library never passes through Tuckii's servers. iCloud and Google Drive libraries are separate: iPhone, iPad and Mac sync with each other through iCloud, and Android devices sync with each other through Google Drive.
Both options sync the same things: your links (with their titles, descriptions, notes and pins), collections and sub-collections, tags, and the images and preview thumbnails you've saved.
iCloud Sync (iPhone, iPad and Mac)
- Where it's stored. In Tuckii's area of your iCloud private database (Apple CloudKit), under your Apple Account. Only your devices signed in to that Apple Account can reach it. We can't read it, and none of it is sent to our servers.
- What Tuckii reads from iCloud. Only whether you're signed in to iCloud and an anonymous ID that Apple creates for your account in Tuckii's container, so the app can tell if the iCloud account changes. Tuckii never sees your Apple Account email or name.
- Apple's terms apply. Apple stores this data under its iCloud terms and privacy policy, and it counts toward your iCloud storage.
- Deleting it. Tap Delete iCloud Data in Settings → Cloud Sync to permanently delete your Tuckii library from iCloud. The copies on your devices stay.
Google Drive Sync (Android)
- Signing in and permission. The first time you tap Sync Now, Google asks you to choose a
Google account and to allow one permission:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata. This lets Tuckii use only a hidden app folder in your Google Drive that holds Tuckii's own data. Tuckii can't see, open, or change any of your other Drive files or folders, and it asks for no other Google data such as Gmail, Contacts, or Photos. - What Tuckii reads from your Google account. Your Google account email address and your Drive user ID. The app shows the email in Settings ("Syncing with …") and keeps both on your device to know which account it syncs with. They are not sent to our servers.
- What's stored in your Drive. In the hidden app folder: one sync file per device that holds your library, plus your saved images and preview thumbnails. It counts toward your Google storage.
- Not sent to us. The app talks to Google Drive directly from your device, using a short-lived access token from Google. Your Drive data and that token are never sent to Tuckii's servers. We don't share or sell this data, and we don't use it for advertising or to train AI models.
- Delete Google Drive Data. In Settings → Cloud Sync, this permanently deletes everything Tuckii stored in the hidden app folder. The library on your device stays.
- Switch Google Account. This disconnects the current Google account on this device. Your library on the device stays, and your data in that Google Drive is not deleted. The next Sync Now lets you choose an account.
- Revoking access. You can remove Tuckii's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To also delete the data Tuckii stored, tap Delete Google Drive Data before you remove access.
Tuckii's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5Third-Party Services
Tuckii relies on a small number of third-party services:
- Apple App Store & Google Play. Used for app distribution and to process in-app purchases. Their respective privacy policies govern those transactions.
- RevenueCat. Used to manage premium subscriptions and purchase status. RevenueCat processes purchase identifiers, not your personal contact details.
- Apple iCloud & Google Drive. Used only if you turn on sync (Pro), to store your library in your own account. See Section 4.
- Link metadata providers. To build link previews, our service fetches publicly available information from the websites you save and from the platforms those links point to. For some links, it asks a link-preview service, which receives only the link's URL from our server.
- Website analytics. This website (tuckii.app, not the app) uses Google Analytics to count visits and clicks on the download buttons, along with the page language, device type and approximate country. It uses cookies, so in the EU, the UK and Switzerland it only runs if you accept. You can change your choice anytime with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Ads features are turned off. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies.
6Your Rights & Choices
- Access & export. Your data lives on your device, where you can see all of it. With Pro, you can export it to a JSON backup at any time.
- Deletion. You can delete any link, collection, or all of your data directly in the app. Uninstalling Tuckii removes the local database from your device. Deleting all data on the device or uninstalling the app does not remove your synced copy: use Delete iCloud Data or Delete Google Drive Data for that (see Section 4).
- Stay offline. Aside from fetching link previews and the sync you start yourself, Tuckii works without sending your content anywhere.
7Children's Privacy
Tuckii is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8Changes to This Policy
