YouTube Timestamp Link Generator

Make a YouTube link that starts at the exact moment you want. Paste a link, set the time, copy. Made for your phone, where there's no easy way to do it.

Like 1:30, 1:02:03 or 90 (seconds)

Runs entirely in your browser. Your links are never uploaded or saved.

Save the moment in Tuckii

A timestamped link is still a link. Share it to Tuckii and it waits in your library, ready to play from that exact moment whenever you come back.

How to make a YouTube link with a timestamp

On your phone (iPhone or Android)

  1. Find the moment. In the YouTube app, pause the video and note the time in the player.
  2. Copy the link. Tap Share, then Copy link.
  3. Paste it here. Tap Paste above and type the time, like 1:30.
  4. Copy or share. Your new link opens the video at that exact moment.

On a computer

  1. Pause at the moment and right-click the video. Copy video URL at current time gives you a link with the time already in it.
  2. Or use Share. YouTube's Share box has a Start at checkbox, but the link it makes carries a si= tracking code.
  3. Paste either link here to get a clean one, or to change the time.

Add a timestamp to a YouTube link by hand

A YouTube link starts at a set time when it ends with t= and a number of seconds. 1:30 is 90 seconds, so:

Linkhttps://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQAt 1:30https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ?t=90

Use ?t= when the link has no question mark yet, and &t= when it already has one, like a long watch?v= link:

Linkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQAt 1:30https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ&t=90s

YouTube also understands t=1m30s. The most common mistake is a second question mark, as in ?si=abc?t=90: the video then starts from the beginning. Links made with the tool above never have that problem.

Start an embedded YouTube video at a set time

Embedded videos use start= instead of t=, again in seconds. Open Embed code for a website in the tool above to copy YouTube's standard embed code with the start time already in it:

Embedhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/dQw4w9WgXcQAt 1:30https://www.youtube.com/embed/dQw4w9WgXcQ?start=90

Shorts, live streams and YouTube Music

Clean links, too

Every link this tool makes is free of tracking: si, pp, feature and utm_ parameters come off. It uses the same rules as our free Link Cleaner, which does the same for TikTok, Instagram, Amazon and more.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a YouTube link start at a certain time?

Add t= and the number of seconds to the link: youtu.be/VIDEO?t=90 starts at 1:30. If the link already has a question mark, use &t=90 instead. Or paste the link above, type the time, and copy a link that is built the right way.

Can I copy a YouTube link at the current time on my phone?

Not directly: the Share button in the YouTube app copies a link to the start of the video. Copy it anyway, paste it here, type the time you see in the player, and you'll have a link that starts at that moment.

What time formats can I type?

Minutes and seconds (1:30), hours, minutes and seconds (1:02:03), plain seconds (90), or the YouTube style 1m30s. If the link you paste already has a time in it, it is filled in for you.

Why does my YouTube timestamp link start from the beginning?

Usually the time was added the wrong way, for example with a second question mark instead of &. Links made here are always built correctly. Shorts can also ignore the start time in the Shorts player.

What does si= mean in a YouTube link?

It's a share ID that YouTube adds when you copy a link with the Share button, so it can tell who shared the link. This tool removes it, along with other tracking like feature= and utm_source.

Is this YouTube timestamp generator free and private?

Yes. It is free, with no sign-up, and it runs entirely in your browser: the links you paste are never uploaded or saved.
