Where are my saved posts on Reddit?

Does Reddit have a limit on saved posts?

Not on saving — you can keep saving indefinitely. The limit is on *listing*: Reddit only ever returns your most recent 1,000 saved items. Older saves still exist in Reddit's database, but no interface will show them to you.

How do I go back further than 1,000 saved posts on Reddit?

You can't. The 1,000-item ceiling is built into the endpoint every interface uses, so Old Reddit, new Reddit, and third-party apps all hit the same wall. There's no setting, sort order, or workaround that pages past it.

Reddit Saved Posts: Where They Are & the 1,000 Limit

Quick answer: Reddit doesn’t limit how much you save — it limits how much it will show you. Your saved list only ever returns the most recent 1,000 items, posts and comments combined. Everything older is still in Reddit’s database. You simply have no way to reach it.

That distinction matters. Nothing was deleted, and there’s nothing to recover. The saves are there, sitting past the end of a list that stops.

Web: click your avatar (top-right) → Saved.
Mobile app: tap your avatar (top-left) → Saved.

Posts and comments land in the same list; use the Posts / Comments tabs to split them. Old Reddit also gives you a search box on the saved page — useful, but it can only search what Reddit is still listing.

The 1,000 limit, precisely

The endpoint that returns your saved items caps out at 1,000. That’s not a UI quirk you can design around — it’s the same constraint underneath Old Reddit, new Reddit, and every third-party app, which is why none of them can show you more. A few specifics worth knowing:

Posts and comments share the allowance. If you save a lot of comments, they consume the same 1,000.
Reddit Premium doesn’t raise it. Free and paid accounts hit the identical ceiling.
It’s a retrieval limit, not deletion. The rows still exist server-side. But a save you can’t reach is, in every practical sense, a save you don’t have.

So when people search how to go back farther than 1,000 saved posts — the honest answer is that you can’t. Anyone promising to recover them is selling you something that doesn’t work.

What you can still do

Since there’s no way backwards, the only useful moves are forwards:

Rescue what’s still listed. Everything inside the most recent 1,000 is reachable right now. That’s the window.
Unsave aggressively. Saves you no longer need are pushing older ones toward the cutoff. Clearing them buys room in the listing, not the storage.
Stop treating Saved as an archive. It works well as a short-term “come back to this” tray. It was never built to be the place your good links live.

Save the keepers somewhere that doesn’t stop at 1,000
